This is quite a frequent question I get from travelers interested in staying in Havana so I thought why not to publish my recommendations on the best hotels in Havana.
One of Havana?s best places to stay is the Old Town commonly known as Habana Vieja. This area has a wealth of heritage building which earned the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO in'84.
I have to start with Santa Isabel Hotel, located in the very heart of Habana Vieja right next to the place where the city was founded. Originally built for the governor of Cuba more than 200 years ago; this building is one of the most representative examples of the Spanish-Moorish colonial architecture.
Saratoga Hotel is probably one of the few hotels in Havana that deserve a 5 star category. From the roof top swimming pool you can admire the splendor of the Old Town while relaxing on a sun bed. This hotel has 96 rooms divided in suites, junior suites and deluxe patio rooms.
NH Parque Central is another 5 star hotel in the old town that I like to recommend particularly for its high standard of service and excellent food. This hotel is also located in Paseo del Prado Promenade and it was erected over the ruins of a collapsed building about 10 years ago.
There are lots of boutique hotels in Havana such as Florida, Ambos Mundos, Ofarril, Raquel Hotel, Condes de Villanueva, Palacio San Miguel, Santander Hotel, Hotel Prado Ameno and the list goes on but this are in my modest opinion the best 4 star hotels in Old Havana.
This is it for today I hope to have given you a comprehensive list of the best hotels to stay in Havana. If you require further detailed information such as pictures, description, facilities and prices you can visit www.quest2cuba.co.uk - 31515
